I thoroughly enjoyed this class. It was great to be in class that we got to learn about tools that we could apply right away. The Web 2.0 tools we learned were great to engage students with and many were great to scaffold and differentiate with. Some, unfortunately, I cannot use currently where I teach, but I was able to find substitutes because of the freedom we had to learn what we needed and created things we could use now.
I teach at a school with almost a third of the students speaking a second language. The ELL project was really exciting because it made me a stronger teacher for those students that I have. The more strategies I have available the more successful I can be at making them be successful.
I also enjoyed the Lesson Plan activity. Many times in school you create new things that you will never use. This activity was the opposite. I was able to take an activity that was already in the works, modify it, add technology to enhance it, and the execute it. I will keep it as is and use again and again.
