Jason Sirard
My name is Jason Sirard, and I am in the Master's Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program in Summer 2020 and will graduate in Spring 2022. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Professional Sales. In 2013, I decided to become a teacher and enrolled in GATapp at Griffin Resa. I began teaching middle school in Henry County. After two years of teaching there, I moved to Cherokee County and where I have been teaching for five Years.
I currently teach life science to 7th-grade students at Teasley Middle School in Cherokee County. KSU's reputation in instructional technology led me to the Master's Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology. My ultimate goal is to obtain a job as a technology coach or administrative position. I plan to continue my education by pursuing my specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction at KSU.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE Coaching standards. As you can see, there are a series of links above the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. You will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University and feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom and assist other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities.
